Josh Shaffer is a Delaware County native. He, his wife Holly, and their daughters Lily, Evangeline, and Alana live in Norwood PA. After graduating from Philadelphia Biblical University, Josh went on to complete a MA in Theological studies at Liberty Theological Seminary. Josh firmly believes that the Church was never intended to be a religious institution. Instead, the Church is a movement founded by Jesus, devoted to carrying out the mission of God in the world.
Karen Peterkin graduated from West Chester University with a degree in Music Education. She left the full-time teaching profession when her first child was born, but has remained active in event planning, preschool teaching, and administration work. Feeling prompted to serve others and serve His church, she became Hope's Administrative Director in 2013. Karen lives in Springfield, PA with her husband, Joshua, and their three children.
Brett Borman has been playing music since the 4th grade when he picked up the upright bass. He has lived in Delco his whole life along with his wife Joy and daughter Jayden. He graduated from Haverford High School in 2000 and Neumann College in 2005. Along with being the worship leader at Hope, he is also a Special Education Teacher.
