PLANNING A VISIT TO HOPE?

HERE'S WHAT TO EXPECT:

Hope Community Church launched in 2012, but the church building we now own has been around since 1873.  We are currently renovating our building, so you may see signs of construction during your visit with us. As you approach the building, signage will direct you to our entrance.  We ask everyone to enter through the side door next to the lawn.

At the door, you will be welcomed by one of our greeters, into our Lobby. Our greeter will direct you to the Welcome Table where you will be able to pick up a bulletin and a complimentary Hope Community Church travel mug as a thank you gift for visiting with us.  You will also find more information about our church at the Welcome Table, including signup sheets for Small Groups, events, etc. A restroom is also located in the lobby.

You will make your way through the lobby to our Sanctuary where we hold worship. Our worship service typically follows a simple format. We begin with two songs and a brief prayer, followed by a reading from the Bible.  Next, we have an announcement time and another brief prayer followed by an offering song.

Visitors are politely asked to NOT make any monetary contributions. We are thrilled to have visitors with us, and we always consider their presence in worship to be their gift to us. The message, sometimes referred to as a sermon or a homily, is up next. Our messages are typically delivered in what could be described as a conversational and informal style. The worship service concludes with one last song and a closing prayer.

Children's Ministry

Parents of children in 4th grade and below, can take advantage of our Children’s Ministry.  Behind the double doors in the back of the Sanctuary you will find our Nursery and our Parent’s Lounge.  Children 4 years old and under can be checked into our Nursery Care.  Parents are also welcome to make use of our Parent’s Lounge at any point during the worship service.  Little ones can be changed, fed and/or soothed in the Parent’s Lounge.  Children in Pre-K through 5th grade are welcome to participate in Children’s Church which begins just before the message.
