HopeKids Ministry

HOPEKIDS VISION

To invite children to know and follow Jesus, experience belonging in our church family, and be encouraged and equipped to understand and live out their place and purpose in God’s big story.

Our team of volunteers work hard to provide for our kids a safe, fun space to learn and worship. Our team of experienced and background-checked volunteers are ready and willing to serve you and your family. If you're planning a visit with us for the first time, or simply just checking us out, we are so glad and excited to serve you and your kids!

During Sunday Services, children experience connection to our church by taking part in both corporate worship with their family and small groups with their peers. While in the HopeKids’ rooms, children participate in lessons rooted in the grace and truth of the Gospel. After your children’s time in HopeKids, we greatly encourage you to talk with your kids about what they're learning and experiencing together.

  • Parents are always welcome to include their young children in our worship service. We understand the importance of attachment and security needs in the early months of parenting a new child, as well as during the “getting to know you” period of visiting a church. Any noises made from infants and children during our worship service is expected and understood. We offer a private, “New Parents’ Room” to parents to care for feeding, diapering/toileting, and other urgent needs.

  • For babies and toddlers, 0 - 4 yrs/Pre-K:

Our Nursery Room is available for families with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers and is offered for the entirety of Sunday service. In the Nursery, our youngest church members experience the protection of their Heavenly Father and the love of Jesus through the attentive care of our Nursery volunteers.

  • Children Pre-K/4 yrs - 5th Grade:

School-aged children participate in the worship opening of Sunday service with their families. During our “Announcements and Offering” time, they are then invited to follow HopeKids leaders to our Children’s Church space for a kid-friendly Bible lesson.

Participation in Children’s Church provides an early experience of being part of God’s family in a small group setting. Under the guidance of mature Christ-followers, kids dig into God’s Word, pray together, and connect with each other through games and activities designed to reinforce the Bible lesson.

  • CHECK IN

Parents check in their children to Nursery or Children’s Church each Sunday via the QR code in the bulletin and must pick up their child in the HopeKids rooms immediately after our service. Please attend to toileting needs prior to checking in your children.

  • REGISTRATION

Each family is asked to fill out a Family Information Card the first time they attend and at least once each subsequent year. Any allergies, special needs, or notable medical conditions must be registered, and we ask that you verbally remind one of our HopeKids leaders of specific instructions when you drop off your child.

  • COMMUNICATION

Completion of a family information card will also add you to our email list so you can receive occasional eNewsletters filled with encouragement, family discipleship resources, ministry updates, and invitations to upcoming family events.
